Easily Volvo, deluxe buses are available but buses are not direct as they will leave you at Bhuntar from where Kasol is 50 minutes journey. Therefore it is picked by many as a family getaway. And the weather is too favourable to visit. Ideal time to visit here is October to June. One can explore beautiful green landscapes from March to May but if you love winters and cool breeze, October to January is the best time for you.

Let’s move to some facts and about the place. Do you know this small hamlet is also known as ‘Amsterdam of India’ and ‘mini-Israel’ too? The abundance of flora and fauna are eye-catching and photogenic. For adventure seekers, Kasol is the heaven. Being here, one can trek to Kheerganga passing Pin Valley and Parvathi Pass and one won’t be disappointed by the view one will get at the height of 3000 metres. While trekking, one may relax at the crossing Parvathi River and river rafting is the activity which one can explore here. Another trek which is mainly for the beginners is Sar Pass Trek, a trail which offers view of lush green forests and snow peaked mountains too. To explore the hippie culture and panoramic views, Tosh is the little village in the lap of Kasol to be visited. Similarly, Malana is another village influenced by such culture, which is visited many youngsters. Also, if camping is your taste, Kasol is the place to be.

Moving on, visit some religious places near the town and one of them is the famous Manikaran Gurudwara on the banks of Parvathi river.  To relish your gastronomic delights, you can explore The Evergreen Cafe and Buddha place. These both places have delicious cuisines – be it Chinese, Mexican, Indian or Israeli. And to bring back some souvenirs, there are plethora of flea markets which might not too big but have a good collection.
