Pickup from the Chandigarh airport at 09:30 A.M. Proceed to Shimla. On arrival check-in at hotel. Evening free to stroll in the famous shopping place of Shimla town – “THE MALL & THE RIDGE” This large open space in the heart of town presents excellent views of the mountain ranges. Also visit Sankat Mochan Temple, Jakhu Temple, vice regal Lodge, Prospect Hill and Tibetan Market. Overnight stay at Shimla.
This day after breakfast proceed for in and around sightseeing of Shimla’s landmarks – the neo-gothic structure of Christ Church and the neo – Tudor library buildings are worth seeing. After lunch proceed to Manali. Check-in at hotel by evening. Overnight stay at Manali.
Early Morning proceed for excursion visiting KothiGorge, Gulaba, Marhi, Solang Valley. After that half-day local sightseeing of Manali “HADIMBA TEMPLE” Built-in 1553 with a superbly crafted four tiered pagoda roof, it is famous for its exquisitely carved doorway. “CLUBHOUSE” The Club House with its comprehensive facilities that include a roller skating rink, an auditorium, billiards rooms, a library, a bar and a restaurant makes wonderful outing for the day.” Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar, and “VASHIST TEMPLE” Well known for its hot springs. There are old temples dedicated to the sage Vashisth and to Lord Rama. Back to hotel and overnight stay at Manali.
After breakfast proceed to Amritsar via Kullu Valley (Guest can do river rafting by own). Overnight journey to Amritsar.
Morning breakfast at hotel and start city tour with the blessings of Golden Temple-the most important Sikh shrine also known as Harmandir Sahib and Darbar Sahib. Also visit Jalianwala Bagh – the place that reminds every Indian of the brutal and heartless massacre by British general Dyer.
After that visit India-Pakistan Atari Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony – Atari Wagah, an army Joint Check Post on India-Pakistan border 30 kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening “Beating the Retreat” ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drill, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. Overnight stay at Amritsar.
After breakfast proceed to Chandigarh. Reach and check-in at hotel. After freshen up visit Rock Garden – is a sculpture garden in Chandigarh. It is completely built of industrial and home waste and discarded items. It is near Sukhna Lake which consists of man-made interlinked waterfalls and many other sculptures that have been made of scrap and other kinds of waste (bottles, glasses, bangles, tiles, ceramic pots, sinks, electrical waste, broken pipes, etc.) Also, visit Zakir Hussain Rock Garden. Overnight stay at Chandigarh.
Morning breakfast at the hotel and check out from the hotel. Drop off at the airport.
